KINGS OF PARTHIA. Artabanos IV, circa 10-38. Tetradrachm (Billon, 26 mm, 13.77 g, 12 h), SE 338, month of Artemisios = April, 27. Diademed and draped facing bust of Artabanos IV. Rev. [B]ACIΛEΩC - [AP]CAKOY - Δ[IKAIOY] - [E]ΠIΦANPY Artabanos on horseback left, receiving palm from Tyche standing right; in field, Τ-Λ-Η (date); below horse, month Artemisios in monogram form. Sellwood 63.1 (Artabanos II). Shore 332 (Artabanos II). Sunrise 411 var. (month). Very rare. In exceptional condition for this very difficult issue, with a magnificent facing portrait. Light graffito on the obverse and the reverse double struck, otherwise, very fine.
